SKYBOX Quest beta v1.1.9 and AirScreen Client v1.1.9 are now available for download and use. Let's see what's new:

Note

About screen mirroring:

Download and start SKYBOX PC Client on your computer (Windows only).
Put on Quest, go to AirScreen channel. SKYBOX will automatically show the computers connected to the same Wi-Fi here.
Select the computer you'd like to mirror from. Enter the pairing code displayed on SKYBOX PC Client.
To stop mirroring, tap the screen to call out the menu, then tap the Back icon to stop mirroring.

About accessing the files added to AirScreen:
In Quest v1.1.9, the AirScreen channel now only supports screen mirroring. If you'd like to view the files added to AirScreen(SKYBOX PC/Mac Client), please go to the Network channel.

About logging into YouTube account, please:

Go to the YouTube channel, click the Sign In icon in the upper right corner
Copy the code, click the link below and paste the code
Sign in with Google account

You can also add your YouTube account using the AirScreen Client. Just click the ADD button on AirScreen Client, then select YouTube Account and sign in with Google account on the webpage.

Hi,

After logging into your YouTube account, you can click the "Subscriptions" option on the left bar, and click the "CHANNELS" tab on the top to view your subscribed channel list.

Thank you for keeping this app updated with much love and care. I absolutely love the new updates and have been using Skybox VR almost daily to watch my favorite videos.

I was just wondering if it’s possible to have an MR function in future updates, one where 2D media plays inside of the Quest’s window rather than the app itself? I’d love to be able to change the distance and bring the screen closer to my face so I don’t have to look through an object in Passthrough mode which can become very dizzying. This would make my experience a lot better for in the airplane or in my living room. Cheers! 😄

Dear staff,
I used the 'Network' --> 'Airscreen' to open my added folder to play movies as usual in v1.1.8 but the subtitle not loaded on v1.1.9. Please help on this issue or any recommendation. (Quest3 with PC)

Quest 3 A question about YouTube with a logged in account.
Is the number of viewing subscribed channels limited??? I can only get to "J" with my subscribed channels. If there is a limit there, could this limit be lifted????

This is unrelated to this update, but when displaying a 2D image, I can move to the next image, but I cannot go back. Also, even if it is possible to move to the next image, it is troublesome to set the fast-forward time. Please make it easier to display images.

Hello, thanks for your feedback.

You can switch to beta version 1.1.9. This version will allow you to switch to the previous image with one click. Also, when the image is in pause mode, you don't need to set fast-forward time. You can just click the "Next" button to move the next image.

On Quest store, login your Meta account, find SKYBOX VR Player, scroll down the page, then you will find "Version", please click the dropdown menu to select "v1.1.9 Release: 1.1.9".

On your Quest, find SKYBOX VR Player in your App Library, click the three dots on the upper-right corner of SKYBOX. Then you will find the Update button. Just click it and wait for the installation.

Thanks for quickly removing the channel limitation.

Now all of my subscribed channels are displayed on YouTube.

Previously the number was probably limited to 100.

Is there a limit now or is there no limit?

We didn't reproduce the issue. Could you please share with us the "Info" level logs?

You just need to click SKYBOX's Global Settings, change the Logging Levels to "Info", reproduce the issue, then click the BUG icon in the upper-right corner of Global Settings, and send us a bug report attached with logs(tick the "upload logs" box).

This is such a terrible patch. Not only does it try to load the ENTIRE media list every time you connect through the network tab instead of using the windows app cache like before (takes several minutes to load an entire list) but every time you finish a video or exit from it, it has to repeat the whole process. Not only do you lose your place on the list and get sent to the very top but you have to wait for it to load and generate the list AGAIN

It has only been a year since you have made us wipe out our entire airscreen library and start over from scratch with the new version. Why do you guys keep insisting on making this app worse with every update? Where is our favorites tab, where is our true passthrough?

Hi, how is it possible that 2 Quests (named A an B) can connect to the same Windows-PC via AirScreen ? When I try only one Quest can connect. And if I start the second there is only a waiting-circle on Quest B. After a while the AirScreen-Connection to Quest A breaks and then it is displayed on Quest B, but never at the same time. If that would be possible then 2 people could watch the same movie which is running on the Windows-PC. That feature would be great.

You should be able to use two Quest devices to connect to your Windows PC via AirScreen.

Please check if you're using the latest version 1.1.9 on your Quest and PC.

Open SKYBOX on your Quest, click Global Settings and turn on Show Stats to check the version number.
Open SKYBOX on your PC, click SETTINGS to check the version number.

If you're using the latest version, please directly go to Network channel to access your PC's AirScreen folder using two Quest devices at the same time.
