Clear "history" of viewed videos

Is it possible to clear the viewed videos, and how far into them that you have watched?

I have tried clearing the cache, but that seems to do nothing. I have also cleared the history to the right, but that also did not help. I can also not find any hidden/non-hidden metadata-files in each video directory to delete.

Basically I just want a fresh start, I don't want SkyBox to tell me that I have watched all these videos...

Hi, thanks for your feedback.

If you want a fresh start, you can click SKYBOX's "Global Settings", and click the "Reset" button to do a factory reset.

If you watch the videos from a SMB server or DLNA server, you can click SKYBOX's "Global Settings", turn off "Show Network History", then SKYBOX will not show your Network viewing history. You can also turn off "Continue Playback", then SKYBOX will not save playback duration either.

If you watch videos from Quest local storage, you need to click "HISTORY" tab and click the trash icon to clear viewing history.

I don't understand ... if you clear the history and favorite on the right, how can SkyBox tell what you have watched? Maybe in its internal database it still knows how far in each video you have watched, but no one can see it anywhere on the UI or in the android file system, so essentially your watch history have been deleted.

Yes, SkyBox still remembers how far you have watched each video, and it might be some internal database as you said.

That one is what I want to clear, I want it to forget which videos I have seen.

I don't want to do a factory reset, I am pretty sure that I then have to reinstall all apps etc...

If I turn off Show Network History, the history to the right disappears, but the yellow bar under each video still remains. It's these yellow bars that I want to reset.

If I turn off Continue Playback, the yellow bars disappear, but they come back again when I activate Continue Playback again. I want SkyBox to forget permanently which videos I have watched, so that I can start watching them all again, and know how far along I have come. I want a fresh start, but the yellow bars are still useful if I don't complete a movie in one sitting...

So I still want the Continue Playback-feature activated, but I want SkyBox to forget my progress so far.

I do not use local storage, only SMB from my NAS.

Hopefully this time I have explained better what it is I want...

Hi,

It doesn't mean you have to reinstall all apps on your Quest. If you go to SKYBOX's "Global Settings" > click the "Reset" button, you only erase all data of SKYBOX.
