[SKYBOX VR] Quest v1.1.4: Supported Passthrough, Fisheye190°, and more

We've released SKYBOX v1.1.4 in Quest store. This update included some highly-requested features and bug fixes.

What's new in v1.1.4:

Supported Passthrough function
Supported image format
Supported 190° fisheye format
Turn on/off network viewing history
Optimized controllers & hand tracking function
Optimized dynamic lighting
Fixed some known issues

You can turn on/off Passthrough in Global Settings. What's more, this version supports Fisheye190° videos. You can manually select the "VR180", "VR190" and "VR200" formats in Stereo Mode.

Plus, this version only supports viewing images(.PNG, .JPG, .JPEG, .BMP) from Quest internal storage.

Does Passthrough only work for the UI?? How to make passthrough videos work?

After using v1.14 for a week or two I went back to v1.12.
I can't stand the way control panel pops up at the end of a video and the beginning of the next for a few seconds when you have Skybox set to multiple files in the folder or recent list. I wouldn't mind if I could reposition the control panel so it wasn't in the image frame on 2D I guess the idea is to display the file name. So why not have an option just to show the filename as if a subtitle - options to never show, show for a few seconds or always show.

Other than that I like the new features and bug fixes.

Even though I have hand tracking disabled in the app, during playback it responds to something (I'm not using a controller), shows menus, or malfunctions.

I just figured out the cause.
Quest original hand truck feature is malfunctioning.
When the back of the left hand is facing upward, it should be no action, but it reacts (no icon appears).

Hope you're doing well!

SKYBOX beta v1.1.6 fixed the hand tracking issue for you. You can switch to the new beta v1.1.6 and have a try.

The steps to switch channels:

Visit SKYBOX VR Player product detail page with browser or Meta Quest mobile app. (Make sure you login to your Facebook/Meta account)
Click "Version" and select "v1.1.6 Release: 1.1.6"
Uninstall and reinstall SKYBOX on your Quest.

using Quest2, after clicking the passthrough icon I still see the green background in the video, how can I make it clear ?

tried to run the video file using DLNA / AirScreen / Copy the file to Quest2 internal storage none of them are able to make the green background passthrough

Hello, the current passthrough feature doesn't work with the videos with green background. We'll consider supporting that in the future releases.

In the current version 1.1.4, Passthrough only works for the UI, which means you can see a real-time view of your surroundings. It doesn't work with the videos with green background.

Hi, we removed the Spatial Audio feature temporarily. We plan to optimize the Spatial Audio feature(and support ambisonic audio, if possible) in the next few updates.

Any update on when v1.1.4 is coming to quest pc version? Is it only being released on steam version? Current version on quest pc is v1.1.2
