VR videos don't show up in directory search

I'm using Skybox vr on steam to play vr videos on my valve index. I haven't used it for about 2 weeks and suddenly none of my videos except for one show up when i look for them in my directory. The only thing that changed is me going from a gtx 1080 to an rtx 3080.
The videos are all .mp4 and as far as i know there is no difference between them apart from the quality.
Did something change recently that could be the cause of me not seeing those videos in my directory inside skybox vr?

Exactly the same here, upgradet graphics card from gtx1080 to rtx 3080 and more than 80% videos dont show up.
Its all kind of videos, mp4 mkv it does show some of them also mkv or mp4

Fear Do some 5k videos show up or none at all? Personally I only have 2 4k videos and the others are 5k. None of the 5k show up and both 4k do show up.

it's just random can not say for sure if 5k show up at all, not at the computer with the headset at the moment, but for sure several 4k videos also not showing up

All mine would show, but only the 4k would play. :)

It depends what program I use. With skybox only 4k shows up and it plays. With whirligig and deovr 4k/5k show up, but again only 4k plays.

I'm glad I'm not alone.
I've Been pulling my hair pin pointing it to a potential Skybox Issue . I tested it with 2 system, amd, Intel and 4 Gpu 1060, 1080, 3070, 3080. Conclusion:
Any video above 2300p just won't show up in it directory using RTX 3000 series. Plug back a Gtx 1000 (or i assume any 2000) series card and every thing show up and play nicely.
Fun fact, swiping card back and forth testing, a 6k file ended registered in Skybox history tab and could be then access and play with 3000 series flawlessly, but still won't show if you browse to it's directory! So it's not a question of being able to Play these files, It can. Skybox just purge out 2300p and above when listing directory. No idea why!
Tested on oculus software V24, Skybox 1.0 and Nvidia 460.89

Yanick That only apply to the OCULUS LINK version, The device residing on the quest itself can play everything using Skybox's casting on windows (but all compressed like casting often does).

Yanick Have you tried other vr players? Personally i've tried deovr and whirligig and in both cases the video files do show up in my directory, but nothing happens when i try to play them. Again the 4k videos work perfectly on all the vr players.
Do you have any idea if i can currently fix this because i only have an rtx 3080 so i can't swap out gpus like you do. Perhaps the 3000 series is still too new and the vr devs will have to solve this in time?

Yeah, I tried other players on 3080. And like yours , they fail to play anything above 4k (but show up in directories) - I didn't test if Play'a or VR PLAYER could play larger than 4k files on Gxt1000- Rtx 2000 though. I whish I had. Are they usually do? But the fact that Skybox managed to play 6k video if tricked with it's history led me to believe there's no real problem for Oculus to play things using a 3000 Serie. BTW , on my old 1080, big resolution where played a bit choppy. ON 3080, it's butter smooth (if you manage to get it played)

I am seeing the same thing. Switched to a new system with an RTX 3070 and a lot of my files are now not showing. Any ideas on a possible fix? Could it be a driver or codec issue?
