We have tried and did not recreate the same issue on our Quests...
Please fast click on both "CHANNELS" and time and then you would get informations about video FPS and internal memory. Please make a screenshot of your screen when the freeze happens so we could check if there is a memory leak...
Cheers.
Video freezes, time continues
Sorry to bother you again, but what do you mean by "fast click on both 'CHANNELS' and time". I don't see anything that could be 'CHANNELS' anywhere.

Yum hello, I've always had the same problem here. I have an Oculus Go with the latest firmware. It happens with every video, no matter the format or 2d/3d (I mainly watch tv series episodes). Every 20 minutes it freezes like it's buffering and I have to rewind a little and play.
It happens even with files on internal memory, so it's not a streaming issue. I watch the same files on the same device with other players (like Oculus Gallery) and they work fine.
I've made the screenshot requested to the other user. How can I attach it or send it to you? Feel free to contact me for any info or test, I hope you can debug the issue (I've asked in a Facebook group and also other users have the same problem), because Skybox is great (also, can't wait for your new Home Theatre :) )
Ok I've uploaded the screenshot here, hope you can see it.
Ok I found both (How could I have missed it ;-) ). I recorded a viewing session of about 20 min., until and past the moment the screen freezes. I wanted to select only the last few minutes for you, but I cannot open/play the MP4 outside of the Quest. I can get it from the Quest (Internal Storage/Oculus/Videoshots), but cannot do anything with it. I can watch them with the Quest (Gallery or Skybox). I messed up the file, so that one is lost, but if it is helpful for you, I can record and provide you with a new full ~20 min recording.
I don't know if it is the same problem, but I got miniDNLA on my Raspberry Pi running. Jumping within a Videofile causes to freezes Skybox. Locally on my Quest it is no problem. Is it because the DNLA protocol or network?
Thanks for your help!
Gargi
As an Update: For me it seems it have something to do with the DNLA. Connecting over SMB it works like a charm :-)

Sorry for the late reply.
Please provide the screenshot of infos appearing in both red and green after the stuttering happens.
It will be very helpful if you could get the recording of 20mins for us at contact@skybox.xyz
Meanwhile, so this is still happening with the latest version 0.2.3.3(243) on Quest, correct?
Thank you and looking forward to your reply.
Please also fast click on the time (on the hidden bar with the Global Setting button) for several times and then letters in green would appear.
Then please share with us the screenshot of infos appearing in both red and green after the stuttering happens.
Thank you for your patience and looking forward to your reply.
I have recorded a 20 minute video where you can see how the movie freezes and a 1 min video that shows how I "continue", both with the red and green text on. Since the recordings are rather big, I have send an e-mail to support with a link to the files. They were both recorded with version 0.2.3(243). In a separate mail to support I will send you a screenshot from during the freeze. Hope this helps.

Also your mailbox is rejecting our emails (contact@skybox.xyz).
Hello, I recently started encountering the same issue. I purchased Skybox about a week ago, I was able to watch a few films without problems and then one day I was getting freezes every 19min. I went back to films I watched before without issues and it started happening with those too. Reinstalling the app doesn't fix it.
I'm using the app with an Oculus Go.
I suspect the soundtrack is causing the playback to stop. I tested mkv 4k - with the soundtrack TrueHD.7.1.Atmos the movie was frozen every few minutes (after stopping I did not exit, I rewound -5 sec.), with the soundtrack DD5.1 it did not freeze (the same mkv file).
SKYBOX v1.0.1(285)
OCULUS QUEST 2
I hope you can fix it ...
czarekk Nice. I also found some interesting video file which never stops during play while WiFi is connected or not.

Same issue here, but I know what causes this problem.THE resolution, I changed it through oculus link. When I changed it back to default this problem will be solved. Still a annoying bug because the quest 2 under default res is too shitty to watch it has to be pulled up

Hi friends,
Hope you're doing well.
We recently found that the freezing issue might be related to the audio format.
To troubleshoot, we need to confirm with you:
Did the freezing issue occur when you were watching movies in audio formats like TrueHD or DTS? Or did it happen in another audio format?
Your feedback would be much appreciated!
Also, we are working on a new version of SKYBOX, which will fix this issue. We'd like to invite you joining our beta channel. If you are interested, please send your registered Oculus email to us at contact@skybox.xyz.
Best regards,
Lucy
