Are you guys still working on optimizing the quest for 5k and up videos? anything higher than 4k and i am getting very bad stuttering, and this is with all quest video players. would be great if was fixed in skybox thanks

We are settling on a planning release date of March 1st on Quest and Gear. This is a hard project and our engineers are working hard on it for about a year now. Just need to finish it up and polish the audio output now. Thank you all being very patience with us.

egovr this is sad, and doesnt make sense. dont understand how come my gear vr with s7, which is older tech than the quest, is able to properly decode 5k video and give smooth playback and the quest cant.

i think that's because your s7 is probably a non-US S7 which uses exynos chips instead of snapdragon chips. theexyones chips have been much better at decoding 5k, the quest uses a snapdragon.

niil Sorry for the late reply. No we're not going to release it today. For the past two months SKYBOX STUDIO was closed due to the outbreak of coronavirus. We just got back to work and the release might be delayed to Mid-April. Thanks for your support :)
Maybe, you can release this feature for quest version in beta mode? I think very many people waiting this fature a long time.

According to our test, Oculus Go simply cannot hold the high-res playback solution. Hence we do not have plan to release it on Go now.
overheats = freezes
Whats about Quest? Is solution work normal on it?
Quest is our target device so we will make sure the solution works ;)
