Thanks, I look forward to this fix. I'm on 2.0.2 having a similar issue where it's not sorting the folders by the usual updated at metadata.

Are you trying to access local files, or files from SMB or DLNA server?

If possible, please click the Display Settings in the top-left corner, switch to List View and take a screenshot of your file list. That would help us see what's going on.

I'm also experiencing an issue with my Quest 3; after updating to version 2.0.2, the timestamps of folders connected via SMB became incorrect.

About two weeks ago, an update occurred, and it seemed to work fine at the time. However, another update occurred the following day, and the problem reappeared.When viewing folders connected via SMB in the list view, the timestamp is displayed as 1970/01/01.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software from my Quest 3, but the symptoms persisted.

I've taken a screenshot, but I'm unsure how to upload the image to the forum.

Any information or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Just to confirm, are you looking at the timestamp of the root directory? SKYBOX can't retrieve a valid date for the root directory of a network share, so it may show as 1970/01/01.

The folder date being 1970/01/01 is indeed the shared root folder. However, using Ver. 1.1.9, the root folder does not show 1970/01/01, and I am able to obtain the correct folder timestamp.

In Ver. 2.0.2, folders under the root folder display a different timestamp than what is visible on Windows.

This did not happen until recently (perhaps in the preview version), so it's a bit inconvenient now. I'm currently using Ver. 1.1.9. Is there anything I can investigate or tell you that might help resolve this?

Hi, thanks for your reply. In the new version 2.0.2, we changed how timestamps work for non-root folders and videos — we now sort by creation time instead of modification time (which was used in the old version 1.1.9). If you prefer sorting by modification time like before, please let us know.

In addition, we are going to fix the wrong display (1970/01/01) issue in a subsequent update. The goal is to make it behave the same way as the old version 1.1.9. We tested SMB servers on Windows and NAS, and found the root directory timestamp was shown as empty in v1.1.9.

If you can see the correct root folder timestamp using v1.1.9, please kindly let us know what kind of SMB server you are using. That would help us with further testing.

Thank you for explaining the specifications of the folder timestamp in version 2.0.2.

Personally, I would prefer to be able to sort by the update date of the files within the folder (referring to the latest file) rather than the folder creation date.

However, if my preference cannot be fulfilled considering the software's functionality, security, and the developer's intended specifications, I will accept the current specifications.

Also, regarding the root folder issue when using version 1.1.9, I was mistaken; the correct statement is that the timestamp cannot be obtained in that case. I apologize for my misunderstanding.

Lucy for me it sorts properly on 1.1.9 but on 2.0.2 it does not.

Could you let us know which version of SMB you are using?

Also, we'd like to check the logs on your side to further investigate. Please kindly go to SKYBOX's "Global Settings", change the "Logging Levels" to "Info", then open a few SMB files, and click the "BUG" icon in the upper-right corner of "Global Settings" to submit a bug report attached with logs.
