First of all, thank you for all the recent updates on Quest – I’ve really been enjoying SKYBOX on my Meta Quest 3, especially with the new Blu-ray ISO support.
I’ve run into two issues so far:
Environment
- Headset: Meta Quest 3
-
- SKYBOX on Quest: v2.0.1 Preview (latest build from the preview channel)
-
- PC client: SKYBOX VR Player for Windows, v1.1.9-564
-
- Setup: My Blu-ray ISO files are stored on the PC and streamed to the headset using the official desktop client over my local network.
Issue 1 – Can’t open Blu-ray main menu + app freeze
When I play a Blu-ray ISO and try to access the disc’s main menu, the app freezes:
Start playback of a Blu-ray ISO that is streamed from the PC client.
In the Quest player, press the “Disc Menu” button to open the Blu-ray menu.
Expected: The main Blu-ray menu should appear and remain usable.
Actual: The picture freezes and SKYBOX on the Quest 3 becomes unresponsive. I have to force close the app and reopen it. This happens every time I try to open the disc menu on my Blu-ray ISO files.
Issue 2 – Audio noticeably delayed on one Blu-ray ISO
On another Blu-ray ISO movie I tested, the audio is clearly out of sync:
The movie plays, but the audio is delayed compared to the video (lip-sync is obviously off and quite distracting).
The same ISO plays in sync in other desktop players on the PC.
So far I’ve only noticed this problem on that specific Blu-ray ISO; other non-ISO videos seem fine.
If it helps, I can upload the problematic Blu-ray ISO files to Google Drive and share them privately with the team for testing. :
