[SKYBOX] Quest 2.0.1 (Preview): Access YouTube via Web Browser

Gave this a shot. New features look nice, problem with video playback - corrupt color or stuttering that play ok in v1.1.9 appears to be fixed.

Problems in v2.0.1

Global default file sort is date descending - overriding any setting I had before - prefer Name Ascending, Can we set our global default in the main settings?
Many 2D videos are darker - adjusting brightness doesn't help as the highlights start to blow out. It's like the shadow/black end of the levels/curves has been darkened but not the midtones and highlights. See attached screen caps v2.0.1 vs v1.1.9 (look at the gray carpet)
Many 2D videos the color looks "muddier" - upping the saturation helps slightly but overall the color has a slight sepia tone to it.
MVC 3D files do not playback smoothly - stuttering, jerky - same files on same headset playback smoothly in 4XVR
Shows multiples of Slash DLNA servers/folders (only one)

Thanks so much for your detailed feedback!

I'm sorry that it is currently not possible to set a global default sorting method that applies to all folders. We will note your request and have a discussion about it later.
Regarding the color issues, could you please let us know if these 2D videos are in HDR format, or if they are another specific type or format? It would help us identify the root cause quickly if you could share share specific video samples with us(contact@skybox.xyz) so we can test them and further investigate.
About the MVC 3D playback, we'd appreciate it if you could provide the specific video file for testing. Also, do you play them from Quest local storage?
As for duplicate DLNA servers appearing in SKYBOX, please try restart your router, DLNA server and Quest device. After restarting, please wait for 2-3 minutes for all devices to reconnect properly on the network, then reopen SKYBOX Player to check if the issue is resolved.

Tried version 2.0.1 on quest 3s. fw version v79.
I found that hand tracking control behaves very weird in this version.

Every time i want to click a button located at the top half of the whole screen i have to straighten my arm really hard forward, otherwise the indicator cursor just disappears and i can't click the buttons.
Whenever i want to scroll the menu by pinching and pulling, it stucks at the pinched down state, even if i release my finger the ui will still scroll when i move my hand.
Skybox now will not accept my left hand input. When using left hand the cursor just don't want to properly show up.
I also tried MVC decode (played a MKV made from bd disc).
Skybox will not properly remember where i played last time, and will start from the beginning everytime i play that video (seems to only affect MVC).
MVC is displayed as half sbs default. Had to manually change.

We truly apologize for the inconvenience caused.

We're working on a fix for the hand tracking bugs, and we will include the fix in an upcoming update.

About the issue where MVC videos restart from the beginning, we reproduced the issue and will try to fix it in the future updates.

In addition, I'm sorry that MVC videos are displayed in Half SBS by default. As a temporary workaround, you can add the keyword "Full_SBS" or "fullsbs" in the fie name or folder name. SKYBOX will automatically turn on "Full SBS Matching" if it detects "Full_SBS" or "fullsbs" in the file/folder name.

Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention!

We've tested both video links you shared. Regarding the first video, it requires a 90-degree rotation for proper viewing. We will address this by adding a rotation function in our next updates.

For the second video, while it does support 4320p resolution, this option doesn't appear when accessed through web browser. We still need to further investigate this issue. If there's any progress, I will keep you noticed.

In addition, we will implement separate zoom settings for the browser interface and the full-screen playback interface. This means when returning from playback to the browser, the zoom will automatically revert to the default or your previously set browser zoom level.

Regarding the thumbnail issue, we noticed that preview thumbnails may take more time to generate in beta 2.0.1. This may explain why you think they appear not to display. We will work to optimize it in the next update.

You misunderstood it. I praised your player for making this rotation of 90 degrees. It is the only player that has this function.

It is and true praise. I think it's great that your player has this function. That's why it would be a shame if you couldn't get the other functions to work again.

VR180 is displayed in flat format so VR videos can no longer be played without mutilating the image.
