[SKYBOX] Quest 2.0.1 (Preview): Access YouTube via Web Browser

Hey everyone,

We are pleased to announce the beta release of SKYBOX 2.0.1 for Meta Quest.

What's New in SKYBOX Player 2.0.1:

Supported accessing YouTube via web browser.
Optimized Pro-HD Quality feature.
Added Spatial Audio toggle in Global Settings.
Fixed some known issues.

If you have problems playing YouTube using the Live version, please kindly follow the steps below to update to beta 2.0.1 and try it out.

On your Quest 2 or Quest 3, go to Quest Settings > Privacy & safety > Installed app > find SKYBOX VR Video Player > click Release Channels > select "2.0.0 Preview" and install the update.

Hi, I just tried this new update and I found to major problems/bugs so far:
1) There seems to be a calibration problem with the hand tracking, it seems to register "fine" only if I use my hand "upside down"

2) 3D MVC seems to have a stuttering problem, just every few seconds.

(Plus, this isn't a "problem", but I just wanted to say that I hope you guys will bring Dolby Atmos support some day, because that would be really make your app perfect.)

Hi,Lucy, I need to watch movie before I sleep, but after upgrade to 2.0.1, it can't be run in a dark room! Please fix it.

Secondary accounts worked with 2.0.0 - with 2.0.1 it's broken now. Please allow downgrade to 2.0.0 and fix secondary accounts. Tried multiple headsets and multiple secondary accounts. It works flawless on all primary and on no secondary accounts. Just wanted to watch a movie with my wife and 2.0.1 crossed our plans.

Hello Skybox Team,
I am experiencing a network error on my Quest 3 when trying to connect Skybox to my Emby server, which runs on port 443.
I can confirm that the Quest 3's built-in browser successfully connects to the same Emby server over the same network. This seems to indicate the issue is specific to the Skybox app.
Could you please look into this? Any solution would be greatly appreciated.

Could you please share the "Info" level log to help us troubleshoot? We tested the issue on our side, but we were unable to reproduce the network error.

Click SKYBOX's "Global Settings", change the "Logging Levels" to "Info".
Reproduce the issue you mentioned.
Click the "BUG" icon in the upper-right corner of "Global Settings".
Tick the "upload logs" box, and submit the in-app feedback. Thanks!

Sounds gone out of order
2.0.1 Sounds are very small
1.1.9 beta
Left sound is unstable. Sounds are
dropped every several seconds.
So
1.1.9 normal reinstalled
But
Still left sound is very unstable.

DeoVR is same. Unstable.

But, Meta media player is stable. It is normal.

How do I fix sound issue ?

Also posted on the 2.0.0 thread.
I'm experiencing a bug where attempting to create or join a room gives me an error message "Create your Meta avatar before joining this room"

I'm on version 2.0.1

I've tried

clearing the SkyboxVR cache
pressing the factory reset button within the app
editing my Meta avatar
rebooting my headset and trying all of the above

I can see my Meta account username and id from within the Skybox app, so it seems to be connected to my Meta account successfully.

When creating my own room, the error message pops up, but I can simply hit "cancel" and stay in the room.

If I try to invite another player, them attempting to join gives a network error message.
If another player invites me, when I join the room it crashes their application, while I get the "Create your Meta avatar before joining this room" message

I'm on a Meta Quest 3.

It's a pretty frustrating bug, and is impeding my main use case for SkyboxVR (testing out the multiplayer).

I'll be on the lookout for updates and trying again in case there are fixes, but if there's a workaround I'd appreciate if someone could let me know.
