We fixed some issues in the new beta version 2.0.1. You can update to v2.0.1 and check if your high resolution videos can be played without problems.

I am also having this problem. I am exporting Insta360 Pro 2 footage (stitched in Instastitcher) shot in Stereoscopic. It is exported through Media Encoder using the VR preset with h264. Trying to play with the file on my computer with a Meta Quest 2 and skybox says too large to be decoded, and then plays only with stuttering/buffering playback.

i updated it to beta 2,something and now when gets buffering at the start then message file too large, continue playing? i do and its unplayable, stutter as hell. before the update i remeber no issue. i went back to stable version, problem stayed.
its 8K video the other i think 7K? smaller 4K-6K or similar videos no problem

Got the same problem, after updating to 2.0 nearly all of the videos give this error and plays like 3 frames per second. Something is wrong...

Lucy Im trying I've updated to the latest 2.0.1 version of SkyBox on Quest 3 and having these issues. I cant find the max pixel resolution for videos as the Skybox support page appears to be offline currently. My video is a 360 top/bottom video h.264, I've exported at a low bitrate @ 8192x8192px. What is the max dimensions Skybox supports?

Hello, SKYBOX supports videos up to 8K x 4K. The video you mentioned exceeds this limit. So it is unable to be processed by the hardware decoder, resulting in the unplayable issue or choppy playback. Thanks for your understanding!

Thank you ! 2.0.1 fixes the "file too large" problem in my Quest 3 using SMB.
