Apple Vision - Problem playing mp4's off network share

Hey all,

I just picked up an Apple Vision and installed Skybox 1.2.1.772. I'm hitting a weird bug: when I play a video off-network, only the sound comes through—no video. I haven’t figured out a way to get videos directly onto the AVP yet either.

I’ve tried a bunch of files, but this specific one is an MP4 (5760x5760 @ 40Mbps) that I encoded on an M2 Mac. This same file and setup work perfectly on my Quest 3. Thumbnails show up fine, but once I click on the file, the UX goes unresponsive.

It’s quite different from the experience on Meta 3, which plays pretty much anything on Skybox.

Anyone else run into this?

Thanks for your feedback.

Could you please share with us(contact@skybox.xyz) the logs and the specific mp4 file? We'd like to check the logs and test the video file to further investigate the issue.

To send logs, you just need to tap the "Settings" in SKYBOX app, then tap the "feedback/message" icon next to "Settings" to send the in-app feedback attached with logs.

I actually updated the AVP software, and it seems to be working now, so it looks like the issue wasn't related to Skybox after all. Appreciate your help!
