Why was skybox changed into a desktop streaming app?
The only thing I bought it for was to watch my vr catalogue... and now that features been replaced with something completely irrelevant....

It wouldn't be sooo bad if the network options actually worked...

Whats the last sane and stable release?

    Hello,

    Do you have problems accessing the files on your PC via AirScreen(SKYBOX PC Client)? If so, please go to our website, click Windows/Mac Client to install the new version 1.1.9 and see if it works.

    If the problems still remains, we hope you can share with the "Info" level logs. To send logs:

    1. Click SKYBOX's Global Settings, change the "Logging Levels" to "Info".
    2. Click "Network" channel, open some folders to reproduce the issues you encountered.
    3. Click the BUG icon in the upper-right corner of Global Settings, and send us a bug report attached with logs(tick the "upload logs" box).

      Lucy I specifically used this app because I could view a folderless structure with all of my files in the same view. I have no idea where everything is now. This is really frustrating and I’m pretty sure not all of my files are showing up in the network interface. I have multiple hard drives with folders with the same name and it’s nearly impossible to navigate now. Can I downgrade to the previous version on my Oculus quest 2?

        At this point why did I pay for this when DeoVR does the same thing? Why was a feature REMOVED?

            Thanks for your feedback.

            We made some changes in v1.1.9. If you just want to view the files added to SKYBOX PC/Mac Client as usual, please go to "Network" channel and click the folder named "XX's AirScreen".

            If you can't see any files under the AirScreen folder in "Network" channel, please go to our website to download the new PC/Mac Client v1.1.9.

            The "AirScreen" channel now only supports streaming the desktop of your Windows PC. If you would like to share and stream your PC's desktop, please go to this channel.

              Lmao this is ridiculous I had to revert back to 1.1.7 to even look at my airscreen files again. PC app was updated to 1.1.9

              Anybody else have suggestions for other apps? I think it is finally time to move on from skybox. Adding features while breaking older ones seems to be a running theme and we STILL don't have proper passthrough or favorites section

                If you're using SKYBOX PC Client v1.1.9, you should be able to see your files under the AirScreen folder in "Network" channel.

                If you still can't see any files under the AirScreen folder in "Network" channel, we hope you can share with us the "Info" level logs.

                  When playing VR files, they are often buffering. Other files I haven't tried.

                    pues ahora no me funcionan los archivos locales de mi PC he echo todo para añadirlo desinstalar la app borrar y añadir archivos y no funciona. Quiero el reembolso.

                      The changing of the airscreen function is horrible! It should have been left as it was and if wanting to introduce Screen Mirroring, a new menu item titled "Screen Mirror" should've been added instead. Changing how AirScreen worked with the DLNA counterpart is frustrating as hell

                          Where is passthrough! This app is frustrating, time to move to Deo as they have that feature....

                            Any news on potential fix for: https://forum.skybox.xyz/d/2415-3d-vr180-youtube-videos-distorted-using-skybox-vr-player/2 ?
                            Being able to view YouTube videos from the app is great and all but not that great when it displays VR videos wrongly.

                            Also is it possible to enhance the navigation in YouTube? Such as viewing comments and going to channels from the video rather then having to look and search from home screen?

                            Separating VR360 content and VR180 in the VR tab would also be a big help since VR180 content requires far less bandwidth to have the same fidelity as VR360 which is really helpful when connections are unstable.

                              Hello, this video is not a standard VR180 video. It is less than 180 degrees, so it will be distorted when pasted on a 180-degree model.

                              You can filter the YouTube search results now. Just click the "Display Settings" and select the filters/features. About other features you mentioned, we will have a discussion.
