Adding metadata/tag support

Suggesting feature addition for implementing metadata or tag support.
Im playing files with metadata embedded within the mp4s. Categories include titles and even cover art for movies. Would be awesome instead of using a separate image file or random screengrab to identify a movie.

Hi Rivian,

Having metadata within video files will be very convenient for video playback/recognition/presentation. However in our past experiences with VR videos on the internet, most of those videos do not have metadata. Even when they do, they tend to come in all sorts of different format and structures.
We feel like until a industry standard for VR metadata is set, we will not be doing metadata support.
I think Google/Youtube and Oculus and some other companies are trying to push our different standards. We will just see if any of those sticks.

Andy Any news on this? Tagging would help navigate unstructured folders e.g. NAS drives. If there isn't a main standard, either adopt one, or make your own? Currently it's extremely cumbersome to navigate large libraries that don't have a detailed folder structure.

I want tagging, rating feature, too. Because it makes searching easier based on that information. If it is difficult to modify the metadata, is there no other ways?
