We're happy to release a new beta v1.1.8 on Quest store.
This version mainly added two features: WebDAV and AirPlay casting(experiential feature). Apart from these two, it added support for .MK3D format and fixed some known issues.
About WebDAV, please note this version only supports Alist, Nutstore, and Yandex server. To connect to the WebDAV server, please:
- Go to SKYBOX's Network channel
- Click the Add icon on the top left corner > select Add WebDAV server
- Input your WebDAV server's IP address or domain name preceded by "http://" or "https://"
- Enter your login credentials
If you're not sure how to set up WebDAV sever or what login credentials you need to enter, please check out the Support Articles of Alist, Nutstore, and Yandex server.
Regarding AirPlay, SKYBOX supports streaming videos from your iPhone/Mac and mirroring your iPhone/Mac screen to Quest. Please note SKYBOX is the receiver. That is to say, you are not able to mirror your Quest screen to iPhone, Mac or Apple TV.
To stream a video from iPhone/Mac via AirPlay:
- Make sure your iPhone and Quest device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network
- On SKYBOX, click Global Settings > turn on Casting
- On iPhone/Mac, play a video > tap the AirPlay button
- Select the Quest device you want to use with AirPlay
- Watch the video on your Quest device
