Folder listing bug after updating to v1.1.7

Hi,
I'm on Quest 3 and Skybox was working very well with v1.1.6
When I updated to v1.1.7, when I open a folder (internal storage), around 30% of the time Skybox is stucked, the 2 spinners spin very long time, around 2-3 minutes (one big spinner at the middle of the screen, and one smaller spinner at the right of the folder name). I think it tries to update the file list, or updating the thumbnails.
The other 70% of the time, it could display the file list instantly (less than 1 second).

The folder in this screen shot has only 6 .mp4 files in it.
Another thing I noticed is that, the check box Show Thumbnail does not work, Skybox still diplay thumbnails event this is not checked. I dont know if those 2 bugs are related, but I think it has something to do with the thumbnails.
So I can not use this version, I had to downgrade to v1.1.6

I'm really sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Could you please share with us your logs? Logs will record some error information that helps us debug.

You just need to click SKYBOX's Global Settings, change the Logging Levels to "Info", reproduce the folder listing bug, then click the BUG icon in the upper-right corner of Global Settings, and send us a bug report attached with logs(tick the "upload logs" box). Thanks!

The "Show Thumbnails" switch only controls whether or not to create new video thumbnails. If the thumbnails have been cached, they will be displayed.

Hi there,

Hope you're doing well!

We released a new beta version v1.1.7(2521) yesterday. This version fixed the file listing keeps loading/spinning issue.

You can switch to the "v1.1.7: Release: 1.1.7" channel and see if the issue was resolved.

On Quest store, login your Meta account, find SKYBOX VR Player, scroll down the page, then you will find "Version", please click the dropdown menu to select "v1.1.7 Release: 1.1.7".

On your Quest, find SKYBOX VR Player in your App Library, click the three dots on the upper-right corner of SKYBOX. Then you will find the Update button. Just click it and wait for the installation.

After the update, you can click SKYBOX's Global Settings, turn on "Show Stats" to check the version number.

Let us know if you have any other problems.

Hi Lucy, thank you very much for the fixe, I no longer have this issue.
Btw, the 120 Hz mode is very smooth, this v1.1.7 has so many great upgraded features !

I am having this problem as well with vive… see “new strange UI behaviour”… is it the same fix?

Hi there,

No, it's not the same fix. ninhld is using SKYBOX Quest standalone version. If you use VIVE device, you're using SKYBOX Steam version.

About the "new strange UI behavior", we hope you can share with us a video capture of the issue and send us the Info level logs. Logs will help us know what went wrong.
