Left and right flipped when playing a 3D video.

I have a movie in the .mk3d file format that is not detected by SkyBox so I renamed it to .mkv and I added the "3dh" tag in the file name. But whenever I play the video, the left and right sides of the screen are swapped. I don't know if this is a bug, (I also tried the "HSBS") or if it's just the particular video file of mine that happens to be bugged. Or if I'm just missing a setting toggle that will fix this issue.

Besides, had the left and right images swapped before you changed the filename?

You can disable 3D effect by using the Monoscopic Mode:
Tap Advanced Settings > Monoscopic Mode. Once you enable this mode, the same image will be presented to both your left eye and right eye.

SKYBOX Quest v1.1.8(beta) supported .mk3d format. So if you'd like to play .mk3d video files from Quest local storage or via SMB protocol, you can try out the new beta version.

To switch to beta channel:

On Quest store, login your Meta account, find SKYBOX VR Video Player, scroll down the page, then you will find "Version", please click the dropdown menu to select "v1.1.8 Release: 1.1.8".
On your Quest, find SKYBOX VR Player in your App Library, click the three dots on the upper-right corner of SKYBOX. Then you will find the Update button. Just click it and wait for the installation.

After the update, you can click SKYBOX's Global Settings, turn on "Show Stats" to check the version number.

Lucy It seems to be any 3D movie I try. Both Into the Spider-Verse and Avatar 2 had the same issue. Monoscopic fixes the left and right being swapped but the 3D is disabled, which defeats the whole purpose of the 3D movie. Spider-Verse was in .mk3d format and Avatar was in .mts format. I changed both to .mkv but that problem happens.When I open both in VLC it’s the same image side by side (which is why I’ve been trying the “SBS” thing in the file name)

Hi, you can click Stereo Mode button, change to 2D Cinema, and see if the left and right image was swapped. If possible, we hope you can send us a video sample.

I have a couple of files I download the have this problem. Since almost all my other files play correctly I figure this is an encoding/rendering error on part of the person that created the video. Swapping the left and right channels in the advanced playback settings solves the viewing problem.
