Andy You don't need to change the fps. Just switch the LCD to 72Hz mode. It improves the image quality (color,contrast,etc.) and reduces the flicker even when the software renders at 60fps hence without any performance hit. It may cause minor tearing issue so there should be an option to choose 72/60Hz mode but usually people don't care much about such issue when watching movies.
