Skybox crashes on large network directories

Skybox often crashes when browsing into a network Samba directory with a large amount of files. I'm running Skybox from Steam on Windows 10 and connecting to a Samba share directory running on Debian 11 Linux.

I suspect that there is a timeout waiting for the response, because Skybox appears to not have issues with directories with few files. The directory it sometimes crashes on has 387 files & directories currently. It seems particularly bad when navigating into this directory shortly after taking a screenshot.

I am running Skybox 1.0.1(65).

Hello, you're using the old version. Please change to SKYBOX Steam v1.1.0(beta) and see if the problem still remains.

Right-click the “SKYBOX VR Video Player” in your Steam library and select “Properties”. (If you can't find SKYBOX in library, please search it in the search bar)
Click the “BETAS” tab, and select the “beta - beta branch” from the dropdown list to switch to the beta channel. You will see "SKYBOX VR Video Player [beta]" in your library list now.
Download the update and start the beta version.
