  • Skybox frequent crashing on Quest 2

In the recent versions, the current and the one before that, crashing has become a very frequent occurrence. Always random videos, sometimes it will crash and then the same video will playback perfectly.
Some crashes require a complete headset restart.
After some crashes It takes a while to be able to start Skybox again, trying to start it will just give me black screen and I have to try to quit and try again.

All videos are high bitrate 180 SBS, from 4 to 8k. Didn't notice a pattern. Streamed from Plex DLNA.
Quest 2 on latest firmware.

    Also, we hope you can share with us the Log folder(Quest 2\Android\data\xyz.skybox.player.ovr\files\Log). When you connect your Quest 2 to your computer through a cable, the "Quest 2" folder will appear on your computer.

    Once we know the causes of the crashes, we'll fix them ASAP.

        Still dont fixed. App Crashes after 5-8 minutes since two month and No update

          Which version do you use? You can try the new BETA version v1.1.3.

          To change the version:

          1. Go to Quest Store via webpage or Meta Quest phone app, and find SKYBOX VR Player. (Make sure you login your Facebook/Meta account)
          2. Scroll down and you'll find "Language", "Version", "Developer", etc.
          3. Click on the down arrow sign next to “Version” and select "v1.1.3 Beta: 1.1.3"
          4. Uninstall and reinstall SKYBOX on your Quest 2.

              It seems to me that apps crash more often on my Quest 2 since Quest 2 firmware v49 on.

                If you encounter app crashes, we hope you can click SKYBOX's Global Settings(the gear icon), click the BUG icon in the upper-right corner, and send us a bug report attached with logs(tick the "upload logs" box). After knowing what went wrong, we'll help you solve it ASAP.

                Log may contain some personal information, for example, it will contain the filenames and etc. It is safe when you transfer the log and we only use it to debug.

                    Its only crashing when using skybox with plex in quest2. Skybox alone is perfect. Plex alone is perfect. Quest 2 is perfect. But all together and you have moviefolder which are 400or more movies and u keep opening one after another its keeps crashing after 10 or 20movies. One time i got a message that says skybox was running out of ram. So can u fix the problem because skybox with plex is perfect.
