Is there any way to shuffle the video play order in airplay?

Currently there is no way to shuffle the video play order in SKYBOX.
We will consider adding this feature in the future.

honestly... any media player should have a shuffle function, and most do. i was surprised when i didnt see it...

i think the reason should be obvious.

why would you listen to music on shuffle, or show photos in a slide show in random order?

if you have a lot of content, and you dont care in what order you consume that content, shuffle is basically a must have.

i have gigs of cgi animations, music videos, etc that have short durations. under 10 mins. shuffle would be ideal for that.. having to (slowly) advance using the next button through the same ordered list of files, or having to interrupt playback by bringing up the file list to choose another is not a good user experience. maybe i have no idea what i want to watch, shuffle to the rescue.

Currently we are developing v0.2.1 for Go/Gear and in this version we include the "Shuffle" feature.

The beta version for v0.2.1 is expected in two weeks.

And now I'm hoping it's developed for the Oculus Quest 2 version. I purchased the Quest 2 - months ago -- and immediately purchased Skybox presuming it had the same functionality. Sadly it doesn't have this. I loved my shuffle feature. Now I have to random playlist instead. Hoping to see this in the next update, although posts about roadmap suggest that it's going to be quite the wait. Here's hoping from the person who has now purchased Skybox twice.

To shuffle a playlist:

Click A/X/Trigger button on your controller to bring up the control panel when you are watching a video.
Tap Advanced Setting ⚙️ on the right side of the control panel.
Go to PLAY ADJUST > Loop.
Click Order. Then it will turn to Shuffle.
