Hello,
If you open the same video again, your 3D mode setting should be saved.
In v1.1.0, a yellow bar under the video preview thumbnail shows you where you left off. If you'd like to restart the video from where you were, please make sure you've enabled "Continue Playback" in "Global Settings".
However, if you play videos using AirScreen, your viewing history might not be saved. We'll optimize this issue in our next AirScreen(SKYBOX Windows/Mac client) update. If you play videos from device local storage and SMB/DLNA server, you can start from where you finished last time.
If SKYBOX fails to recognize the correct format, you can reset the stereo mode manually, just simply tap Stereo Mode on the right side of control panel and select the right format.
You can also rename the filename to see if it helps. Here're some filename rules for different 3d/VR format.
360: 360°, 360/VR, 360/Virtual+Reality
180: 180x180, 180°, 180/VR, 180/Virtual+Reality
200: MKX200, Fisheye_200
Side-By-Side: 3dh, LR, Left+Right, SBS, Side+By+Side, HSBS, Half+Side+By+Side
Top-Bottom: 3dv, TB, Top+Bottom, OU, Over+Under, HOU, Half+Over+Under
Let us know if you have any other problems. A video recording will help us better see what happened. 🙂
