Skybox on Quest 2 able to access all PC folders

Just bought Skybox recently on my Quest 2, connecting to my PC via airlink.

When navigating to Home tab > Directory, I'm able to see all my PC folders (C drive, D drive etc.) Was wondering is this normal? Since I did not grant Skybox / Oculus Airlink access to access my entire PC.

Something to add on, did not connect to any SMB folders too. I media shared my PC (I assume only Photos/Videos are being shared by default), so I'm able to see these specific folders in my 'Network' tab, though at times it doesnt load.

Hello,

Yes, AirLink allows you to wirelessly connect your Quest 2 to your PC. If you enable AirLink, you'll see all your PC folders.

If you'd like to stream videos from PC to VR headset via SMB, you need to firstly set up file sharing on Windows PC. Here're the detailed steps:

Right-click the folder you want to share, and choose Properties.
From the Sharing tab, click Advanced Sharing.
Tick Share this folder. You can also click Permissions to grant access to particular groups or individuals.
Click OK. Then you can go to SKYBOX "Network" channel to access the shared folder.

Thanks for the clarification on the Airlink part. Didnt know Airlink grant my whole PC folder access to Skybox. If thats the case, I no longer need to media stream from windows / set up SMB since by navigating to 'Home' tab, I will be able to see all my files.
