Hello everyone,

We've received some reports about AirScreen stops working after updating to MacOS Monterey.

To resolve the compatibility issues, we are working on a new version of SKYBOX Mac client. You will be able to try it out very soon. Please stay tuned!

SKYBOX Mac client 1.0.0 (beta-1) is now available! This version resolves the compatibility issues with MacOS Monterey.

If you had trouble launching SKYBOX Mac client or uploading files into it, please kindly try this beta version (click here to download) and see if it fixes your problems.

Note: this beta version is not perfect. If you encounter crashes or bugs, please try clearing all files on SKYBOX Mac client or restarting the client to see if it helps.

Any questions and feedbacks are welcomed as we will continue optimizing SKYBOX Mac client.

                Lucy upon launching the app it gets an error screen "Skybox can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information.

                  Hi there,

                  Please open Finder > select "Applications" in the left sidebar > find SKYBOX and right-click to open it.

                  Tap "OK" when the notice first pops up and reopen the app. Then you should be able to launch SKYBOX and upload videos into it.

                  Let us know if you have any other questions. We will keep optimizing the client.

                      Curious where I can submit bugs.

                      Currently, when using SkyBox:

                      1. I'll get 20-30 minutes into a video and it will abruptly end despite the video being much longer.
                      2. Many times, I click on a video and it says "Invalid Video Format". I can click it a couple of times then it suddenly starts playing. Usually, when a video abruptly ends, I end up doing this to get it going again, but it doesn't remember where I was at so I surf to the last place I remember.

                      Otherwise, though, this beta has potential as most videos that were flat-out not working are working better.

                        Thanks so much for your feedback!

                        How did you watch the video, via SMB, DLNA, AirScreen or from local storage?

                        Did you return to the main menu when the video abruptly ended? The playing history may not be remembered if there is a crash.

                        Besides, would you mind taking a video recording about this problem("Invalid Video Format")?

                        It would help us better checking this issue if you can give us more information about the video, like the file size, resolution, video format.

                        In additon, you can send a bug report to contact@skybox.xyz. Also, you can click "Global Setting" (⚙️) and tap "Feedback" (⚠️) to report bugs. Of course, you can submit bug reports at our forum as well. 🙂

                          I have same issues like PaulMarcel. when I watch movies via air screen, it abruptly ends in about 5 minutes and bounces into the prephase menu saying "unidentified error". it reiterates again whenever I watch movies.
                          of course I am a Mac user(Monterey). when can I fix this issue with a new skybox version upgrade?
                          I want these issues to be solved ASAP.

                            i am still having the same problems as junho and paulmarcel for a couple days... it's barely usable that i have to transfer the video file into quest2 to watch..

                              Sorry for the inconvenience caused! Mac client (beta-2) is coming soon. We hope beta-2 would get these issues fixed.

                                i can't Download it. When I click on the Mac OS icon I get a window that says "Please check this on PC"

                                  Hello, which browser did you use? And did you download the client on your phone? Please click the download link on your Mac.
