8k video stutters on Oculus quest 2 using official first party cable

I am using skybox on an oculus quest 2 with the official first party cable from facebook, and videos that are 8k stutter. I have the video on my pc's ssd if that matters. I can play the video just fine if I'm playing the file using the desktop view, but if I try to stream over the cable using the skybox app it stutters. I have searched around for an answer for this and have still not found a solution.

Thanks for your feedback and sorry for the inconvenience.

You can directly watch your 8K videos on your pc using SKYBOX. Please unplug your Oculus link cable and use SKYBOX Quest version to see if the playback gets better.

If you connect your headset to your pc with Oculus link cable, then you are using SKYBOX Rift version, which hasn't been updated for a long time.
