'Invalid files' while importing file on Windows10 Skybox Airstream

Hello,

I've bought an Insta360 to record and watch video on my OC2. Recently I've started exporting the insta footage to .mp4 files 1 file to h.264 and the rest to h.265 codec (since 265 should be a bit less big files). So I have like 10 files now with sizes between 300mb and 10Gb. From those files only 3 have shown as not-'invalid'. There does not seem to be a correlation with codec type or file size. All videos are playable with VLC.

Please tell me why these files are not playing/are labelled 'invalid'.

Edit: Previously file _010 was valid as well, now that I re-added all the files to make the screenshot the file is considered invalid as well.

Hi there,

Thanks for your feedback and sorry for the inconvenience.

I tested the two videos you attached on the forum and they played smoothly via AirScreen.

Also, our developer looked into the log files. The reason why some videos showed invalid was that SKYBOX failed to recognize the preview thumbnails of these videos.

To troubleshoot, please remove the invalid files and upload them individually to see if the player can successful recognize the files. You may wait for several seconds for it to load.

BTW, we are working on a new update, trying to fix this issue and improve its stability.

Dear Lucy, thanks for your reply! When will this update be released?

Adding the files individually into the Skybox Airplay W10 app does not seem to improve the situation for me.
The same files are being recognized or marked as 'invalid'. Is there something I could to improve the files themselves?

Hi there,

We plan to release an update on SKYBOX Windows client in November. But I cannot give you the exact date since there is still some work to do. Your patience is much appreciated!

Please add one file and wait for several seconds until the preview thumbnail appears. If the file still shows invalid, you may need to remove and add it (for several times).

We recommend you watching videos via SMB or DLNA if AirScreen doesn't work well.
