Having trouble getting subtitles to show in a VR Video.

Hi, I've recently brought SkyboxVR on Occulus Quest 2 and am trying to get some subitles to work on a 360 VR Video I downloaded from Youtube.

I also downloaded the SRT subtitle file when downloading the video, and can confirm when playing it on a local player the subtitles do display properly. I placed the SRT alongside the video in my local storage, and Skybox recognizes the subtitle track and lets me pick the track. However I cannot see any subtitles when they should appear.

If I switch to cinema mode, I can actually see the subtitles showing at the bottom of the cinema screen but actually viewing the video in 3d/vr, and the subtitles don't show up.

Can I get the subtitles to show up when viewing a video in VR? Or is it just supported for when I am watching flat media in cinema mode?

Thank you for your feedback.

Now, external subtitles are not supported when you are watching VR videos. You can see the subtitles without any problems when you are watching non-VR videos.

And we are looking at how to support subtitles in VR videos in order to deliver a better viewing experience.

Thanks for clarifying that Lucy. Subtitles in VR videos would definately make this the truly ultimate VR video player in the market, otherwise I'm pleased just how seamless Skybox makes things. Looking forward to progress being released on that update.
