The thumbnail generation tends to crash the app for me on large folders - Could we also have a menu option to just disable the thumbnail generation entirely?

What VR device do you use please?
If the app crashes, then it's possible that in the large folder you have some "invalid" video files, meaning corrupted or still-downloading videos.

I use skybox on the Oculus Quest, do we have a solution for this yet? If so how can this be done as there are very few options from within the app?

Hi just checking in, are custom thumbnails supported yet for oculus quest? Specifically want to make sure they will work over a network share.

Is there a way to update the video thumbnail images yet? I use Subler on my mac to update the custom thumbnail of my videos which I can see in Oculus Gallery and many other apps including Plex, but doesn't show in Skybox.

Is there an update for this coming soon?

I create and save a lot of custom artwork to my media files which show nicely inside the media selection window on many VR video player apps and Plex etc, except for Skybox. Is this feature coming for Skybox?

I have some cover art for my video files, basically jpg´s with the same name. I would love to se them show on oculus quest 2. I use videos over the network.

Hi there,

If the image is less than 200KB, you should be able to view it as the preview thumbnail when watching from Oculus storage.

However, this feature is not supported with Network files now.

Hello!

If you load the video file and image file(less than 200KB) to your Quest's local storage. Then you can get custom preview when you give those files the same file name (except for the file extension).

If you are viewing Network files, then you are not able to do that.

I've been looking forward to have cover-art-thumbnails display function for folders or respective files over the network access as well. Maybe a folder.jpg under the folder or the same filename as the video file.

Hi Lucy, any news on networtk thumbnails?

A way to download the files to the device would be great too, since oculus quest doesn't have a good file manager yet.
