Locked Screen Tilt

Hi,

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but the tilt slider is greyed out when the screen is locked while playing 2d videos/movies on my Quest 2. Also not able to drag the screen down either. Is this normal? I'm finding the locked screen is a little high in my line of sight. Being able to tilt it up or down when locked would be a huge help. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Dan, when you enable "Lock Screen", the screen will tilt with your head movement and that's why the slider is grey. You'll be able to do the tilt adjustment if you disable the "Lock Screen" function and go to cinema scenes like Void/Moon/Space Station.

Thanks, and understood. However, what I'm trying to do is to enable "Lock Screen" AND be able to make vertical position adjustments to the screen. I like having a locked screen when watching 2d movies, but I'm finding the position of the screen causes me to look up and not straight ahead (ie. centered above my neutral line of sight). It would be nice to unlock the tilt slider and give people the option of positioning the locked screen up or down so as to better suit their comfort.

I can't turn off the screen lock. then when turning the vehicle in which I am driving, the screen will move left / right
The screen lock feature should lock the screen in the location the user wants, not in some hard-coded location
Well, since I'm writing here, I would like the possibility of a more rigid screen lock. Because now with small movements of the head, the screen is not rigidly attached, but tries to move a little. In some cases, this is inconvenient.

I totaly agree with this point, even when unlocking the screen. I prefer to watch 2D movies in the void environnement and it is impossible to adjust the position of the screen verticaly, which I too personally feel too high and uncomfortable. At this moment, the only choice is to tilt down the screen, but it is not the best solution I think.

Tried Skybox on my friends VR goggle. The screen is way too high. Watching a movie for a while makes my neck in pain. I think there should be a vertical position adjustment slide like many other players do (not that tilt slide).

Hi there,

Please try pointing your right controller straight to the screen, press and hold the Trigger button to move the screen to your desired position when you are in Void, Space Station or Moon scene.

I’m here 3 years later and it appears they still haven’t fixed this problem. How hard can it be to allow for vertical shifting? The picture is WAY too high, so much so that I’m going to have to seek out another media player
