Games like Top golf and ForeVR Bowl have YouTube built into their ingame media players, being able to play the game while YouTube content plays in the background. This would be a fantastic feature to have in Skybox and potentially increase the popularity of use and selling point to be able to watch any YouTube video on a massive screen. As it stands skybox is a bare bones media player, fantastic as it is, it's still only limited to having to stream or transfer your own content which for a lot of people could be too much effort and have no use for. Not me though as I stream all my own movies, this is my most used oculus app.
Another potential for interest would be a
similar feature like oculus TV which has "channels" Which are more or less veiwing apps. Using sideloading, apps like Kodi can be added into oculus tv. This would also be a great addition to skybox, using Kodi you can stream your "own" media like music and other legal content which is widely available through Kodi.
Food for thought, these implementations would take skybox to the next level even having an edge and a difference in use against Bigscreen which can only stream desktops while lagging and choppy over the internet. I can't even stream my own network media using Bigscreen, it simply won't play.
Anyway cheers for reading even if it was a bit too long.
