Bad performance in version 1.0.2 (329) (beta)

When you released the last version there was some problem with SAMBA so I switched to the beta-path and got version 1.0.2 (329). In this version SAMBA works but the performance and stability is not very good. I constantly get video stuttering and also application crashes. I have tried several different settings to try to resolve the stuttering, by trying different FFR levels etc, but so far I have not found a good settings.

So my questions are:
1) Do you have any relase date for the version with SAMBA fixed?
2) Until then, is there anything I can do to fix the performance and stability of the beta-version?

Strange, the last two days SkyBox have been working flawlessly. I think, for now, that we can ignore this issue. I'll report back if it changes to the worse again.

Hultan Well, it is not perfect. It must depend on the video you are playing, I am guessing that it might be something like h264 vs h265 or something.

Hi,

I have now tested 1.0.3 (335) for about an hour, and here are my results so far:

1) The SAMBA problem seems to be solved. No problem at all accessing my media files.
2) I had one application crash, so stability does not seem to be there yet. Possibly related to the performance issue below.
3) The hand control behaved strangely, it didn't seem to follow the direction I was pointing at. One time it even stopped working completely and I had to reboot my Oculus Quest.
4) There still seems to be some performance issues.Some videos don't play well at all, it played for a 30 secs or so, end then a 10 second pause throughout the entire video. Others works fairly OK. I can only assume that this is about resolution, h264 vs h265 or something like that. I have had problems with some h265 videos even before the problematic SMB-version.

Is there a way for me to roll back to a stable version, before the SMB-problems?

Meanwhile, what version are you using which you find most stable?
The version before 329 release?

I will check out 1.0.3 (338) later today.

I am not sure of the version number, but the version before the "broken SAMBA"-version worked just fine for me.

I believe my problems (except for the initial SMB problems in version 329) are related to the fans not working anymore in my Oculus Quest. Most likely my stability and lagging issues are caused by overheating.

It was unfortunate that the fans seems to have broke at about the same time as the SMB-problem occured in SkyBox.
