Do I have to pay twice?

I'm going to buy oculus quest 2 and I thought to buy Skybox VR. Later I might return my OQ2 back to store if i'm not satisfied and buy HP reverb G2 instead. Can I use Skybox VR with HP reverb g2 without paying twice for it and if yes, how?

I have Reverb G2 plus Quest 2, and I’ve had to buy twice. Once in Oculus Store, and also in SteamVR. Did the same for Beat Saber and Eleven Table Tennis. Seems to be par for the course, having to pay twice. Same as when your partner also has a Quest 2 and Facebook won’t allow you to share one account with 2 devices, so you both have to buy the app on each of your own individual facebook accounts! Frustrating.

if you buy the SkyboxVR steam-version you can use it with your Quest thru Oculus-link or virtual desktop (to be purchased separately on the quest).
when you decide to return you Quest and go for a Reverb you still can use the PC-based-software without buying it twice.
Of course if you want to use the wireless Quest-version first (means Skybox is installed on the Quest) then you would have to buy the PC-version as soon as you switch to PC-based devices like the Reverb.
