I figured some information for you guys.
Right now, video freezes even playing from local storage "IF" WIFI is connected to your Quest 2.
Yes, if WIFI is NOT connected to your quest 2, video from local storage does NOT freezes.
So, WIFI does something.
And depends on video, it doesn't freeze.
I want you guys to go "https://rarbgunblocked.org/torrent/rhqzt4s" and download Netflix original movie "6.Underground.2019.INTERNAL.1080p.WEB.x264-STRiFE".
Yes, you have to use Torrent to download it but, this movie does NOT freezes whatever the reason.
So, video file does something too, I guess.
So you guys should look into that movie file information and figure something out.
Only thing I can see the meaningful difference between "working" video and several not working videos is, working video has "Bit rate mode: Variable" in video information tab. (NOT "Overall bit rate mode" in general information tab.)
I hope this helps.
Update about "Video freezes every 20 minutes."

And it might help you, go to "https://torrentzozo.com/bbs/board.php?bo_table=mv&wr_id=4065",
and download "6-Days-2017-Bluray-1080p-AC3-5-1-ITA-ENG-DTS-5-1-ENG-Bymonello78-mkv".
This video freezes about 10 minutes, not 20 minutes like others.
And I'm using iptime AX2004BCM router.
I really hope you guys fix this soon. Thank you.

Hi there,
Hope you're doing well.
We recently found that the freezing issue might be related to the audio format.
To troubleshoot, we need to confirm with you:
Did the freezing issue occur when you were watching movies in audio formats like TrueHD or DTS? Or did it happen in another audio format?
Your feedback would be much appreciated!
Also, we are working on a new version of SKYBOX, which will fix this issue.
We'd like to invite you joining our beta channel. If you are interested, please send your registered Oculus email to us at contact@skybox.xyz.
Best regards,
Lucy

I experience a similar problem with every video. The picture freezes for several seconds, while the audio continues playing. This happens randomly, usually somewhere around once in a minute / 30 seconds. Rewinding a few seconds back and watching from that moment fixes it for another 30 - 60 seconds. If I do nothing (don't rewind) the video unfreezes after several seconds. Tried factory resetting, but it didn't help. That movie from the original post doesn't freeze (or almost doesn't), so it might have something to do with the video format. I'm watching videos from the local Quest 2 storage. Does anyone else still experience this?

Hi!
Thank you for your dedication to solving the bugs. Skybox is a quality product and I'm very happy with it!
I'm replying here because I have a very similar issue (random video and audio freezing), and thought I could provide information about the root cause.
After digging around, I found out this seems to be a known issue with Oculus that has yet to be addressed. The oculus audio drivers crash and won't restart until the user manually disables and re-enables oculus audio.
As a workaround, I disabled the native headphones on my rift and just use my computer's headphones. It is not ideal, but until (and if) Oculus addresses this problem, it seems to be the only reliable way of solving this.
Ernest, try following the steps shown in this thread:
https://forums.oculusvr.com/t5/Support/Audio-stops-suddenly-randomly/td-p/712542
Hopefully, it'll help you with your problem.
Hope this reply helps you both!
Happy skyboxing
I no longer encounter this issue. I've tested on the current beta (1.1.0), haven't tested on the stable release.
