I've noticed that some 3d movies have a much better 3d effect than others. Some almost feel like the 3d depth is squished. Turning up the 3d offset in skybox seems to fix this.
I also noticed very strangely, that DVDFab produces a stronger 3d effect than MakeMKV with BD3D2Mk3D when using the same source. This leads me to conclude that this offset can be set somehow during the encoding process and that these apps are encoding it with different values.
Is this the case, or is some other factor at play? Is there a way to change the 3d offset so that it is baked into the encoded file instead of having to tweak it with Skybox?
Also would love any info that describes what is going on here. It was very surprising to me that there was a depth difference when encoding with the different apps.
