DLNA and Occulus Go Functionality

Hi. I have a Plex media server running on my computer. I can access it locally just fine from the same machine using VLC. The entire catalog appears instantly and I can stream anything just fine. First off, both the occulus go and my computer (plex server) are both on the same wifi network. When I try to browse for network files on the occulus, I can see my computers SMB share folder appear. I can also use the official PLEX video app on occulus go and browse the plex media server immediately and playback any file. The problem is, is that the plex share folder inside of skybox does not always show up, and when it does show up, it will take some time, like maybe 3-5 minutes. Sometimes it just doesn't show up and I'm forced to use an inferior app. The behavior of the plex media DLNA discovery that skybox does on my oculus go appears to be unreliable or inconsistent. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is this a bug that will be fixed in the future?

Several months later, i just installed Skybox on my new Quest 2, and i'm having this exact same issue.

My PLEX media server sits on my Synology NAS, and i can correctly connect it from anywhere in the house, on every devices.

when i open skybox i can see by default the SMB share folders, but the actual PLEX media folders will show up (if they will show up), only after several minutes, during which i'm either trying to refresh all the time, or just wait.

My PC can find Plex shared folder with no problem, and so does also Bigscreen, Just Skybox has this inconsistent behavior and folder either do not show up at all, or will show up several minutes later.

Is there anything we're doing wrong? how can we fix this?

didn't noticed the original post was for the Go, but.. well same issue also on the Quest :)

on your mobile phone, download software "DLNA server" in GOOGLE PLAY ,put a video inside
Check if it works fine?

If Oculus do NOT re-happen this problem, that is the porblem of your PC.
Try turn off firewall, make sure connect to only one network

Otherwise, check the firewall in your router.

If these do not help, you need to send your logs to the skybox Admin for help

Thanks for your reply, but, how could it a problem of my PC?
my PLEX is on a separate NAS on my network, my Quest connect directly to the NAS, not via the pc, so how could the problem be the PC?
also why does this happens only with Skybox, all other software i use (both on Quest and on the pc, on my nvidia shield, or my mobiles and even my AV receiver, any single device i have can see those folders) they all can find the folders right away without any issue or waiting
