Can't jump forwards or backwards on video playback

Hi there
Recently, I seem to have lost the ability to control the time when playing mp.4 video files. When I play these videos, the time bar which lets you jump to different parts of a video is greyed out and it no longer displays the length of the video or where you are up to in playing back the video. I can only play the video from beginning to end, or until i exit the player. This only seems to happen to bunch of mp4. videos but I do not know how these are any different to other mp4 video files which playback fine.

I think it may have arisen following the latest update - but not entirely sure.

Has anyone else had this problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First of all you should mention the platform your skybox runs on (Quest, Rift, Vive.......)
As for the format:
mp4 is just a container (like mkv, m2ts etc.) and does tell nothing about the streams and their formats contained in it.
And the contents is depending on the encoding settings of the person/program which did the encoding - the results can be at least "questionnable".
So you will have to find out the differences between the videos which work and which don't.
To do so run the windows-program "mediainfo" on one that works and one that doesn't and post the results here.
