Unable to detect any media servers or devices on AirScreen on my Oculus QUest

Hi! I feel like i've been trying everything at this point. Had several different media servers like "Universal Media Server" and "Plex" and just general shared folders trough the Windows functionality. I have also tried to use SKYBOX VR Player on my windows machine without any luck.
I've checked if my firewall is blocking anything and ai also just tried to turn my firewall off but this didn't work. I've also tried to restart both my computer and my VR-set. I've also tried to reinstall the application on my device and factory reset my VR-set.

Please help be resolve this issue as SkyBox is of no use for me at this time.

I should also add that both my devices are on the same wifi network just to eliminate the obvious.

I have the same problem, please help !!!
when I enter my oculus go skybox app it cannot find my device despite being connected to the same network and making all the specified settings!

Same here: it did work perfectly for months, but now the Skybox app on Oculus can no longer detect the server on my Windows PC. It still works perfectly connecting to a Mac though, so this seems to be connected to the Windows app only.

Same for me. I've done all requested but no device has been detected. What can I do? It is killing my otherwise enjiyable experience with the quest2.

No replies to any of the above problems? From 2020 to 2022. I am going through the same rubbish and can't seem to find an answer anywhere!

paganos Hi there, sorry for the inconvenience caused! Which version of SKYBOX are you using?

Please open SKYBOX on your computer and click "Setting" (the gear icon) to check the version number.

If you are using version 0.2.4, please try the new beta version of SKYBOX Mac/Windows client 1.0.0.

You can go to our website to download the latest client(AirScreen).

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Jenny I am using the new beta version on the PC and the same on the headset. Still unable to detect devices.

Hi there,

You can follow this FAQ to turn off firewall, VPN and antivirus softwares on your PC and disable AP isolation of your router.
 
If you still cannot connect to your PC via AirScreen, please share with us(contact@skybox.xyz) your log files:

1.Reproduce the connection issue on your Quest 2 and then share with us the log file located in C:\Users<Your Username>\AppData\Roaming\SKYBOX\logs\application.log. (Note: do not restart SKYBOX on your PC after reproducing the issue. You can also use the attached .cmd file to find the log file.)
 
2.Connect your Quest 2 to your PC through a cable, then the "Quest 2" folder will appear on your PC. Share with us the log files located in Quest 2\Android\data\xyz.skybox.player.ovr\files\Log.

Still can't connect. Maybe I am missing something. Anyway. I have written to skybox before posting here and never received a reply. I will again try to get in touch with them and send the files.

Hello, to further look into the connection issue, we'd like to add you to our beta channel. In the beta channel, more information will be recorded in log files. If you'd like to work with us fixing the issue, please share with us your Oculus registered email. And we'll fix the issue ASAP once we figure out what went wrong.
