I have this same issue and reinstalling SKYBOX_for_windows_0.2.3.exe did not fix it for me.
The Skybox icon appears in the taskbar and in the system tray, and then like OP said, it crashes after about 20 seconds. Aside from running as admin, I also tried compatibility mode. I was able to use Skybox on this machine up until September 30th when the error first appears in my Windows Error Reporting logs.
There's not a whole lot of information in the Window "Application Error" log but here is the most recent one: https://pastebin.com/aEgx6QZ9
I could find any log files produced by Skybox itself.
