- SMBv1 crash.
How do you set up the SMB please? What router do you use?
What is the frequency of the crash when you use SMBv1 (ex. 1/10)?
If possible, Please follow the steps below and send us the log file so we can check the issue:
-Connect your device to PC and create a file named skybox.debug under SKYBOX folder. Ignore the file format if asked.
-Restart SKYBOX on your device.
-Try to connect to your SMBv1 and recreate the crash.
-Finish all the steps above and send us (contact@skybox.xyz) the log file /SKYBOX/SKYBOX_debug_log.txt and Android/Data/xyz.skybox.player/Files/PersistentData/OutLogs.txt to me.
- SMB username/password
Please check if your router assigns a static or dynamic IP address each time you connect to the SMB.
If the IP address is dynamic, then SKYBOX could not remember the account info.
- 8k playback solution
We are optimizing the solution now. With this solution, you would be able to play up to 8k videos (primarily 360 video) on SKYBOX with Quest.
