YouTube?

Hello! I just got a Note 8 and Gear VR, and in my search for "the cinema experience" Skybox seems the best (despite me not having gotten Airscreen to work yet, but I'll be tinkering more with my Wi-Fi later).

One thing I miss from my old experimentation with Google Cardboard and the seemingly abandoned Cmoar (which unfortunately does not work too well with Gear VR) is the easy ability to search and watch YouTube videos in the VR cinema. Is this something you've been considering implementing at all? Would love it. :)

I'm glad you've found SKYBOX, and thank you for getting in touch with us : )
We are certainly considering adding online content to SKYBOX, but currently our focus is on crafting the local VR video player to its best.

As for AirScreen, I don't think you need to tinker your Wi-Fi to get it to work. Here is a little guide for that:

Just make sure your VR headset and PC/Mac are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, and the VPNs are turned off.

Hi,
Good to hear! Movies in all honour, but I fear I'm not alone in spending a frankly obscene amount of time on YouTube too so I look forward to that day. Tried another sideloaded YouTube cinema project which was visually quite nice but functionally... Wonky. We do need a proper one. :)

AirScreen was blocked by my PC (Windows 10) being set to "Turn off network discovery", worked fine after changing.
