Fisheye video support?

Hi,

Is there plans for support of fisheye distorted videos? Barrel distorted videos are displayed correctly but fisheye doesn't seem to work correctly (unless I'm missing an existing option?)

Thanks for getting in touch with us.
I am not sure what you mean by fisheye distorted videos. It will be better if you can send me a link of the video you are referring to so I can say for sure what the problem is.
But for now, depending on the angle of the fisheye lens, you can try manually set the stereo mode to 180 or 360. The top and bottom part will look bit distorted if the video is not stitched as 180/360 video, but it can take away most of the distortion.

Video is too large but I believe it's the ones that uses the "180x180_squished_3dh" or "180x101_3dh" suffixes. It's supported with the official Samsung VR app.

Thanks for getting back to us.
Since fisheye videos are mostly very old and there currently aren't so many of them on the market, we had to make some compromises to work on more frequently used features first.
I have added your suggestion to our roadmap, but it will only be implemented in later versions, after our engineers have finished more urgent work.
I hope you can understand that : )
