The filenames associated with the thumbnails are truncated after a few characters (i.e. "moviena . . ."). This can make it hard to locate similarly named files, like episodes of a tv series. It would be great if there were an option to display only one thumbnail for each row with the complete filename next to the thumbnail. Like this:

[thumbnail] full name of the show episode 1.mp4
[thumbnail] full name of the show episode 2.mp4

It would also be great to have the option to display files (especially on network servers) by the creation or edit date of the file. It would be nice to be able to browse the list of files in reverse date order, so that I can start with the newest files added to the server (instead of having to scroll through the entire alphabetical list). (Like sorting by the Date Modified field in iTunes)

As for your suggestions:

We will certainly look into the problem and try to figure out a good solution for this type of problem. Simply adding an option to the display of the playlist seems somewhat brute-force as it will drastically increase the length of the list, and some files with short names would look awkward on the list. But this is certainly a problem, so we will work this out.
The files are currently sorted by the date on which they are added to the playlist by SKYBOX.

And YES we are currently working on the automatic recognition, which will certainly take your experience with SKYBOX to a new level.

Thanks! my thoughts:

I recognize that for many users the default view is more than sufficient. And of course the list will be longer if there is only one entry on a line. But the longer the list, the more likely it is that someone will need to see the full name! That's why I thought making it an optional setting for advanced users would keep everyone happy. Maybe you can eliminate thumbnails for that view to get more entries on a screen! (Full name descriptions are literally the only thing I prefer about pigasus! Otherwise, your recent releases far surpass them.)
So if I add a new network drive with a hundred files, they will all have the same date for sorting purposes? That seems problematic. Are you able to sort by the creation or modification date associated with the file on the network drive?

Hi Imikey,

List view is certainly important, we will include it in the next version (1.8/1.9).
As for the sorting, it is currently supported in our PC client. Default is sorting by date of addition, and Date is sorting by the modification date. This feature will be added to Mobile VR and Network in the later versions!

Hi Andy,

I agree with lmikey - i have Synology NAS with 16TB , folders with VR content and folders with non VR content. Having large number of files with similar naming is an issue as described above. Simple switch to revert to the old standard full file name in list view - for users that want that.
