Zoom Function

Hi, the zoom function seems very sporadic or doesnt work at all. I am using Plex and everything else works fine, except zoom. If I press on it most of the time nothing happens. Any help?

Thanks for reaching out to us!
Here are some possibilities why your zoom function is not functioning properly:
1. To use the zoom function:
.....a. With hand held controllers, slide gently up and down (without clicking) the touchpad to zoom in and out (note the cursor must be within the boundary of the film being played in order to zoom).
.....b. For Samsung Gear VR headset without hand held controllers, the built-in touchpad does not work for the zoom function, but you can still change the scale manually through 'setting - scale' in the playback menu.
2. The zoom function currently only works in the 'Void' and 'Space Station' theatre settings.

Let me know if your problem still exists after trying these options.

Hi there.

Thanks for a great app - just tried it out today, and weighing it up against Deo VR for use with Samsung Gear S7.

The zoom function is definitely faulty. It doesn't respond when you access it through settings, but only responds about 1 in 6-8 times of trying it. The other two view settings, vertical and tilt, respond immediately. It looks like it could be a simple coding fault?

From a fresh point of view, one other thing I found to be frustrating generally was how low down the video playback line was - I kept having to realign it as otherwise it as too low down for me to reach it. Maybe my chin's too fat :D But if you want to be able to quickly jump between scenes in videos, it's would help if the timeline was centred to field of view, and all the other options around it, imo. That's all the more important when there is already a 2-3 second delay due to the networking with the PC through WIFI.

I found these to be quite annoying issues in what is otherwise a great app, so much so that I can't commit to the Skybox app alone at the moment, but find myself weighing up pros and cons between yourselves and DEO VR with neither winning (due to their poor FPS rate).

Good to hear from you!
I have tried setting-zooming with a Samsung Gear S7, but did not encounter the issue you described, can you give me the version number of both SKYBOX and android on your phone so that our engineers can take a better look at this issue?
The playback line idea sounds cool, let me look at our user data and see if this is indeed an issue, and I will get back to you about this. If this is a problem most of our users are having, we will definitely make this change.
I think your suggestions are awesome, and I really appreciate them. Please keep them coming :)
