Sequencing to next video in network mode

This used to work. If I hit the next button while playing a video in a list of network files, I expect to get the next video based on my sort order. [Date, Name, Size] I am setting sort by name. The listed files show correctly in alpha order but if I select one to play, then while playing select next button it goes to a random (in my opinion) video in the current directory, not the next one alphabetically. Please fix this. (I have tried all the "reset descriptions fixes" for sorting, but even those are just for fixing the display list of videos and for me that shows correctly.) I believe I am on the latest version as of today's date.

We did some testing on our end — if you change the sorting order in the main lobby, then when you play a video and click "Next", it does play the next video in the correct order.

However, if you change the sorting order while you are in the playback scene, SKYBOX will still follow the sorting order you set earlier in the lobby. (We will try to improve this behavior in a future update.)

Hope that clears things up. If the issue you are experiencing is not exactly as described above, could you please tell us the app version you are using? You can go the SKYBOX's "Global Settings", and turn on "Show Stats" to check the version number. Also, we'd like to know if you are trying to access files from an SMB server? Thanks.

Thanks for your response. I am sorry I don't know your terminology. Main Lobby? Don't know what that is. When I launch the app, first thing I do under settings is select sort by name. Then I launch a movie to play and hit next. Doesn't matter whether i am streaming from SMB or playing local files either in "All files" or "Directory" mode it still doesn't sequence to the next file alphabetically. If I "show stats" it says I am running version 1.1.8

Hello, when you launch the app (before opening any videos), you should be in the lobby where you can see the mountains, the sofa, and the bookshelf.

If your version shows as 1.1.8, are you using the Rift version (via Quest Link) or the Steam version? Honestly speaking, we haven't pushed any new updates to those two specific versions recently.

If you are using the Quest version, would you mind updating the beta version 2.0.2 and have a try? We just pushed a new beta update with some bug fixes.

On your Quest 2 or Quest 3, go to Quest Settings > Privacy & safety > Installed app > find SKYBOX VR Video Player > click Release Channels > select "2.0.0 Preview" and install the beta update.

Feel free to let us know if the problem still remains.
