I was just wondering, have anybody else had issues with streaming speeds when streaming over Jellyfin?
I have a few 8K 360 video files I done with the Insta360 5X, when service these off Jellyfin (and viewing on Meta Quest with Skybox), I get lots of buffering to the point its not really useable.
I'm fairly sure this isn't an issue with Jellyfin itself as:
- Jelly streams the same files with no issue to other wifi devices on the network. For example, my bedroom Apple TV, which is significantly further away from the router than my meta quest, I mean it obviously cant render the 360 video but here is no stuttering.
- The AirSceen provided a nifty way to double check everything. The exact same files, when served off my Mac using your AirSceen application, plays on the meta quest with absolutely no stuttering.
I double checked, the jellyfin server isn't attempting to transcode the file either.
Have anybody else seen this behavior?
