Some Blu-ray discs do not work

Hello. These BD3D Iso discs do not work when attempting to open them in beta skybox 2.0.0.
I using Meta Quest 2

In the latest beta update, artifacts appeared when playing 3D movies with a vertical stereo pair. The artifacts appear as colored pixel patterns that flash for a fraction of a second and then disappear, and then the whole thing repeats.
On the forum, people are saying that this is due to the high load on the quest's video encoder.

I am not using the latest version of Quest firmware.
I had a similar problem with streaming games using VD at high resolution. This happened in games with complex sun reflections.
This does not happen in 1.1.9.

I updated to the new firmware version. The problem persists.
As it turns out, the problem occurs when playing any movies (even non-3D ones) except for Blu-ray ISO.
Blu-ray ISO plays without any artifacts.

Hello, thanks for bringing it to our attention.

This may be caused by insufficient device performance. If you encounter issues with excessive rendering pressure, you can go to SKYBOX's "Global Settings", lower the "Resolution Scale" to 1.2x and turn off "Pro-HD Display" to see if it helps.

There are no artifacts in version 1.1.9.

When approximately 2.0.0 comes out of beta.
Will the problem with Blu-ray discs be fixed in the normal version?

We have fixed the artifacts and white noise issues that occurred during playback in the new version. And it is under internal testing right now.

Some bluray disc still not working

Last patch mainly fixed the white noise issue. Regarding certain Blu-ray discs not playing, we still need more time to resolve, and we are actively working on it.

Meanwhile, you can try clicking the Chapters icon on the control panel to open the FileList Menu and playing it under the FileList mode. Some Blu-ray videos might play normally under FileList mode.
