DLNA access control with SKYBOX Mac client

Using SKYBOX on Mac with Airstream to view videos on Meta Quest 3.

Help section states: "From version 1.1.5, we turned SKYBOX Windows/Mac Client, also known as AirScreen, into a DLNA server".

To what extent does this make ALL videos added to the AirScreen (DLNA server) available publicly?

I don't recall entering a 'pairing code' when I first set up SKYBOX on the Quest 3
by 'publicly' I mean to other devices on the LAN
would other headsets on the LAN be able to access the server using SKYBOX?
would OTHER apps on the LAN be able to access the server?
does toggling OFF 'Network Discovery' hide the server contents?

Here are the answers to your questions:

Only when you try to mirror the desktop of your Windows PC, you need to enter the pairing code. SKYBOX currently doesn't support mirroring Mac desktop, so you don't need to click the "Desktop" option and enter the pairing code.
Right now, other headsets or apps on the same LAN can find and access the server. We will add an "Only Accessible by SKYBOX" option in the next update. This will only allow SKYBOX Quest version to access your AirScreen server.
After toggling off 'Network Discovery', the devices on the LAN can only access the server via IP address. You can open SKYBOX Mac Client, click the "Settings" icon to check the IP address.

So toggling OFF ‘Network Discovery’ makes the files invisible to any apps on the LAN - UNLESS they’re aware of the IP address? That would be a good workaround prior next release.

Is the ‘only SKYBOX’ option in v2.0 preview?

Lastly, will Quick Access option persist between sessions, or would it be necessary to enter Mac (server) IP address each time SKYBOX app is run on Quest?

Hello, sorry to keep you waiting.

After toggling off 'Network Discovery', the devices on the LAN will not find your PC's AirScreen folder unless you connect to it via IP address.

What's more, you will find the "Only Accessible by SKYBOX" option in the next SKYBOX PC Client(AirScreen), which has not been released yet.
