The recent update is messing the focusing of control menu

Hi Skybox team,
I'm having focusing trouble when bring up the control menu. Since the new update changed the picture of control to stereoscopic rather than monoscopic. That leads the focusing problem.

Suggest changing back to monoscopic with selectable view(left or right). An alternative way is changing the menu to transparent like Heresphere. That wuold help a bit.

And I also have found sparkling noises appears frequently. When it happens, you need to restart the app to solve it.

Thank you for your feedback.

Are you using the Vision Pro version or Quest version? We didn't update the Quest version recently. You can click the "gear" icon > select the "Display" tab > turn on "Show Stats" to check the version number.

If you are using SKYBOX Player on Apple Vision Pro, you can go to "Settings" > "Playback Settings" > turn off "Maintain 3D Display When Opening Menu".

Thanks for your help. The Skybox version on my Quest 2 is 1.1.9(2915).
I can't tell if the differences came from Skybox or Meta, but it's really annoying when bringing up the control panel now.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

We didn't reproduce the issue on our side. The control panel is always monoscopic with the left eye view when we bring up the panel.

You can go to SKYBOX's "Global Settings", click the "Reset" button to do a factory reset and see if the problem disappears.

Resetting to factoy default do the trick. But the situation appeared on next day. A resetting is needed again.
Needs further investigation.

Did the issue occur when you play a specific type of videos? Or are there any particular actions you take that may trigger the issue? We did some testing but we were unable to reproduce it.

If the problem is caused by a specific video, please provide a sample video for testing. Thank you!

No, the same videos that played normally before. I don’t think it has anything to do with the content. The issue disappeared after resetting to factory defaults, but it came back the next day. I reset it again to fix the issue and also power-cycled my Quest 2 to make sure it wouldn’t happen repeatedly. However, it came back again when I used Skybox the next day. Weird!

I have limited time to test it, so it takes a while to investigate what’s going on.

Hi Lucy,
I've found that turn on the curved screen feature will change the pictures with pop-up control panel to be stereoscopic. Please confirm if you could replicate this situation.

Hi, thank you for sharing the info!

We noticed that the control panel will be stereoscopic if you enable "Curved Screen" while watching regular 3D videos and then switching to VR videos. We will try to fix this issue in the future updates.
