Issue 1: Controller Malfunction
After a recent software update, the controller's functionality has been significantly impaired. While the update introduced a new feature allowing volume adjustment by holding the trigger and moving the stick up/down, this change has led to control inconsistencies. Specifically:
- Attempting to adjust volume often triggers unintended actions (e.g., skipping to the next video)
- The controller sometimes enters a continuous fast-forward state without any apparent trigger
- The directional controls (up/down/left/right) have become unreliable
These issues have severely impacted the user experience, contrary to the intended improvement in operability.
Issue 2: VR Video Settings Persistence
There is an ongoing issue with the application failing to save VR video orientation settings. When watching VR videos, users need to manually adjust settings (left/right orientation, up/down alignment, 180/360-degree view) for every viewing session, even for previously watched videos. While I understand that automatic detection may not always be perfect, implementing a feature to save these settings per video file should be relatively straightforward - it could be achieved by storing settings against the file name or hash value.
Request:
- Please investigate and fix the controller functionality issues
- Consider implementing the ability to save VR video orientation settings per file to improve user experience
Additional Information:
- These issues persist across multiple sessions
- The controller worked correctly before the recent update
- All other functions of the application are working as expected
