From Quest to Apple Vision Pro - Questions

Hi Lucy!
I think about buying a Apple Vision Pro here in Germany. Actually I‘m still using my iMac with a oculus quest 1. I have a lot of VR Videos on my Mac and I stream them via airscreen to the quest. There I can watch Videos in Full VR with nothing else around me

My simple question is: is it possible to do the same? Stream the videos to the Apple Vision Pro? And look them full screen there? If so, how and what do I need?

Sorry for the late reply!

Yes, you can do the same. Just go to our website to install SKYBOX Mac Client(AirScreen) on your Mac, and put on your Vision Pro, go to the "Network" channel to find your Mac's AirScreen server.

It would be great to get an answer because based on that I will think of ordering the Vision Pro.

I hope my question is understandable. Is it possible to stream VR 180 Videos in the same way as it works between an iMac and the oculus quest 1 and are the Videos on the Vision Pro in Full Sreen (no environment, no things around me)?

Hi Lucy, I have one more question. When streaming 8K videos from Mac to the Apple Vision Pro, which device is really playing back the content? Because my Mac cannot handle 8K video without stuttering. But if the Vision Pro is handeling it, it should work.

Hi, it's Vision Pro that handles the video. But you may also experience stuttering issues when viewing 8k videos. 😅

Hi Lucy! What does that mean? The M2 Chip in the Vision Pro should handle 8K?!
Or do you mean that the software (Skybox) needs a fix for that?
I thought the Vision Pro is a media machine. It would be a shame if 8K does not go fluid…

Hi, SKYBOX supports 8K. However, Vision Pro's M2 chip can only decode H265 8K video smoothly.

Hi Lucy! Ok, I understand.
I bought the App for the Vision Pro today. So far, so good. But three things:

Can you tell me, how to skip fast forward (10 Sec like in the App Menu)? No hand gesture is working.
How can I zoom in and out in a Video? With the Gestures I can move the video from left to right and up and down but zooming is not working. But zooming is absolutely necessary because most videos are to close and looking like zoomed in. How to do that?
Many of my videos are not showing up. Is this a problem with the codec (I mean 2K and 4K Videos mostly in H.264)?

Now we need a possibility to favorite the videos. Like in the app for the Quest. Would be great!
